How to Take Small Steps to Bidding Success!

How to Take Small Steps to Bidding Success!

“OMG…if I wasn’t stressed enough before you started telling me all the things I needed to do to win more work then now I feel really overwhelmed and I don’t even know where to start!”

SORRY…

When I first started managing and writing bids over 10 years ago it felt like that for me too. I had just started working with a large consultancy that was helping its clients with their bids and, of course, I wanted to impress my new employers and to win the bids so that our clients were impressed too.

But their approach just didn’t feel right and it seemed that all they wanted to do was project manage others to provide the written content and then assemble it into a reasonably looking document and hope for the best!

So I started changing some small things and then grouping those things together to have a bigger impact and then adding more to make our bids even better. And that is the purpose of my posts.

So, it really doesn’t matter where you start- just pick something that sounds good to you or that might be easy to do and just do it…but do it today and see what effect it has.

And, if you’re about to blow then read ‘How to Take the Stress Out of Bidding’…and, breeeath!

Back in my early days I tried a variety of different methods and tested the results and learned what worked and what didn’t. I’ve carried on testing and changing and evaluating the most effective ways of communicating ever since so you don’t have to.

And to make it even easier for you, we talk about the Three Keys you need to know about so you can get ahead of your rivals in our free guide called ‘Are You Bidding to Win or Bidding to Lose’. The Three Keys are essential to ensuring that every one of your bids is outstanding time and time again so you hugely increase your chances of success.

You’ll find the guide really useful but it’s not just about reading and then doing nothing else…it’s all about taking action so we’ve included some Action Steps so you can start to change your bid culture immediately. And when you keep on taking the Action Steps you will keep on improving your approach to bidding and achieve even greater bid success. We’re just putting the finishing touches to the guide and I’ll let you know when and where you can get your copy in next week’s post.

I’d love to hear about your experiences of bidding and what frustrates you most so please post your comments- and if you want to remain anonymous just drop me a line and I’ll deal with your worries either privately or in a future post (without naming names!).
